The CCR Rule requires the owner or operator of a CCR unit to design a groundwater monitoring program that must include consistent sampling and analysis procedures to ensure monitoring results that provide an accurate representation of groundwater quality at the background/upgradient and downgradient wells.
AGES has developed numerous sampling and analysis programs for both small projects at private facilities and complex plans for major utility companies. AGES will develop a sampling and analysis program for facilities with CCR units that will comply with the requirements of the CCR Rule. This program will include procedures and techniques for:
- Sample collection
- Sample preservation and shipment
- Analytical procedures
- Chain of custody control
- Quality assurance and quality control
